Flamenco in Seville

Flamenco in Seville is very important. In our Spanish classes we always explain this, as it is part of our folklore and our idiosyncrasy. Although it has become a universal art form, the roots of flamenco are to be found in Andalusia. It is present in many everyday and festive things in our land. Many of our student travellers are surprised to hear this art live. The passion, the power and the combination of different artistic disciplines is what makes flamenco magical.  The lyrics of the songs speak a lot about everyday life in the past. They are usually very poetic, metaphorical and sung with a lot of heart and emotion.
